Cecilia Palmeri is a freelance video editor and documentary filmmaker from Treviso, Italy. Her professional experience includes working with Sky Italia and serving as a videomaker and post-production coordinator for VD News, a digital media platform where she participated in numerous projects centered on social justice and human rights. She has worked in challenging and dangerous environments, including warzones and on rescue ships, where she documented humanitarian efforts and the impact of conflict from a close perspective.
Professor Palmeri holds a double degree in Communications from the University of Milan and John Cabot University, and a diploma in Documentary Filmmaking from Prague Film School. During her studies, she directed and produced the short documentaries "Two Cups of Tea" (2024) and Swim Higher (2024). Both films have been distributed and have won awards in national and international film festivals. Her work focuses primarily on the topics of immigration and the social function of sports, reflecting her commitment to creating films that address critical societal issues.
