Gaia Casagrande is currently postdoc research fellow at the University of Milan, Italy, working at the ERC Project “CRAFTWORK.” Prior to joining the University of Milan and JCU, she worked as agency staff at the European Commission DG COMM, focusing on international media monitoring, and as GTA at King’s College London, Department of Digital Humanities.
Her research mainly focuses on new communication technologies and their social implication, and on critical media theory. Her work has been published in international academic journals and book series such as American Behavioral Scientist, Frontiers in Sociology and Social Research, and International Journal of Cultural Studies.
